As part of our Performing Arts Support Programme we invite Gecko to Batumi with their Institute. This visually captivating, emotionally driven show openly invites the audiences to consider what it means to care.

The performances will be held on 12, 13 and 14 August in Batumi Art Centre.

Gecko’s Institute is a show, where forgotten stories and recycled memories pour out of filing cabinets and endless corridors. Four gripping journeys collide in an extraordinary world of breath-taking movement and exquisite storytelling.

Here is what the British Theatre Guide says about the  show: "Institute offers us  sometimes comic, sometimes beautiful imagery… A visceral, physical, intriguing treat."

Audience quotes:

“We came to see Institute and were stunned by the performance. The physical theatre is incredible and engages the audience.”

“Very powerful, very relevant, you connect so quickly with the characters”

On Twitter:

Jordan Chandler @julapoo Can’t sleep, mind's still blown by @GeckoTheatre. Never had such an uncontrollable reaction to a piece of theatre. #EmotionalWreck. Just Beautiful.

Neil Lankford @earthmoveseco @GeckoTheatre Institute was stupidly good, funny (loved the cliched duo talking bit) incredibly moving, just jaw droppingly good.
