We are delighted to announce the launch of our new teacher training offer — the Trinity CertTESOL.

The Trinity CertTESOL (Trinity College London Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) is an internationally recognised teacher training qualification that prepares you to begin a career as an English language teacher in the UK or abroad. The qualification includes a minimum of 130 hours of guided learning, six hours of observed and assessed teaching practice with real learners, and external moderation by Trinity College London.

The course is designed to build your knowledge and understanding of how teaching and learning work in practice. Our teacher trainers bring extensive classroom experience and have successfully guided many trainees through this qualification.

What you'll learn

On this course, you'll develop the foundation skills needed to take up a teaching post, including how to:

  • Understand the main phonological, lexical and syntactic features of modern English
  • Recognise the needs and motivations of individual learners and groups
  • Design and deliver effective lessons
  • Evaluate, use and adapt published teaching materials
  • Create your own teaching materials and classroom aids
